Two new city parks will be coming to Lake Nona. Both parks are planned to open in summer 2018.  One of the parks is going to be named East Airfield park is going to be built. The park will be along Dowden road and close to the Northlake Park area. The park will consist of four ball fields; a softball field, Babe Ruth/Pony Field and two Little League fields with bleachers. The concession stands will be in the center pavilion between all four fields. Further down south in the Laureate Park neighborhood is where the second park is going to be built.  The park is going to have four multi-purpose fields. A practice area, a fitness station, a playground and a pavilion.
