This week, the Girls Varsity Basketball team were taking on their first game of the season against Colonial which unfortunately got rescheduled but now they will be playing at home versus Olympia on November 19th. Even though they haven’t started their season yet, they have been preparing for it and ready to have success. “Our team has been working on doing defensive drills to get out reach for game days, we also have been going through all the plays that we need to know during our game to be able apply them when we are playing”, answered Courtney Stickelman when asked about how the team has been preparing for their games during practice. On the other hand, “What I am looking forward to this season is to improve our record and play better as a TEAM. And finally I would hope our girls become leaders on and off the court”, replied the Varsity Head Coach, Edin Giler. To add to what they look forward to this season, Stickelman added, “I’m hoping for an amazing season and a good record and make some amazing memories.” With all that being said, we wish our Lady Lions the best season.
