The Lake Nona girls golf team find themselves with a 5th place win in the state of Florida, by winning a score of 640 points after two tough days of playing.

On Saturday, October 31st at the Mission Inn Golf Club, Jordyn Hodgson, Mei Chan, Caroline Nemes, Samantha Scaletta, and Meghan Outram were great examples of excellent golfers as they played against many other teams that qualified for the States championship.

This time, Jordy Hodgson was first place on her team’s leaderboard with 154 strokes, followed by Mei Chan and Caroline Nemes. Many of the players had a rough first day, but all of them were able to compensate for it the next day.

“It honestly went pretty well and a lot of the girls did a lot better than they did on the first day! Personally, I did 10 strokes better which made me extremely happy, yesterday was not how I normally play, but I did better today and that was very uplifting” said Mei Chan when asked how she felt about the tournament.
“These first-rate Lake Nona golf athletes fought hard and showed the state what “class, style, and competitive fight” looks like; we couldn’t be more proud.”, said Coach Mojica in the “lakenonawgolf” Instagram.
The Golf team has been working hard to meet their goal, and they did but with 4 seniors leaving the team this year, they’ll celebrate their last accomplishments until the next season starts!
