On Tuesday, October 20th, 2020, Mei Chan, Meghan Outram, Jayden Hodgson, Caroline Nemes, and Samantha Scaletta from the girls’ golf team in Lake Nona participated in the regionals at royal saint-cloud golf links against 11 other teams. As a team, they obtained an overall score of 310, which helped them qualify for the State Championship.

Mei Chan had the lowest score on her team, followed by Jordyn Hodgson and Caroline Nemes. “I felt so relieved, we were one stroke off from going into a playoff, this could’ve hurt our chances of making it to states.” Mei Chan said when talking about how she felt once her team made it into the state championship, “The team has worked so hard to make it to this point and we really deserve to give our best at the state championship.”

The Lake Nona team was almost tied with the team Doral (who had a score of 311), If it wasn’t for the team’s hard work, they wouldn’t have gotten where they are now.
