Girls First Track Meet Is A Success

On Monday, February 17, Girls Track had their first meet of the year at Showalter Field/Track.


In the 100m, Arianna Slater placed 20 with a time of 13.80 and Zhanya Hudson placed 26 with a time of 14.06. In the 200m, Mikayla Miranda placed 32 with a time of 30.27 and Maya Wilson placed right after her with a time of 30.40. In the 400m, Xiomara Gill placed 4 with a time of 1:00.09, Sydni Brown placed 9 with a time of 1:02.63, and Justyn Smith placed 12 with a time of 1:03.55. In the 600m, Xiomara Gill placed 1 beating her school record with the time of 1:40.75.


In the girl’s high jump, Stephanie Towle placed 5 with a mark of 1.45m, Neveah Henry placed 10 with a mark of 1.35m, and lastly, Irmarie Santiago Vasquez placed 14 with a mark of 1.30m. In girl’s long jump, Jexsamarie Perez placed 11 with a mark of 4.42m and in the triple jump, she also placed 7 with a mark of 9.57m.

Shot Put

In girls shot put Briawna Johnson placed 11 with a mark of 7.59m. Right behind her, Leah Hale placed 12 with a mark of 7.51m. Janaliz Correa also placed 29 with a mark of 6.19m.
