Varsity Football took on the Ocoee Knights, Monday, September 9th, at Ocoee High School where the Lions lost the game 27-30. To add to the frustration of the loss, kickoff was set for 6:00 p.m. and the Lions didn’t get back until midnight. The Lions were up by 3 touchdowns in the first half before being sent to the locker rooms for a lightning delay. When they returned to the field, the Knights scored 2 touchdowns making it a close game. Ocoee locked in the win during the last 30 seconds of the 4th quarter when they scored a third touchdown resulting in the Lions first loss of the season.
